I've said goodbye twice in the last two days. On Wednesday, Auntie Monica, my cousin Kenny, his wife Melissa, and their son Jordan left for New Jersey. It was only a year ago that Auntie Mon was here, but at least 5 or 6 years since Ken had been back and the others' first time to Guam. Nothing like lots of family time and lots of pictures to make it a great trip. This morning, Mateo left for San Francisco. It is a huge part of life on Guam. There's always someone you love visiting and leaving the island to go back to the states. I think that's one of the hardest things about being from Guam...it's so far away and your family's all spread out. I'm lucky though, for a short time I did have the best of both worlds, all of my family here on Guam. I love you and miss you!
